Estive trabalhando nessa peça durante as duas últimas semanas e o resultado não poderia ser mais satisfatório. Levando em conta as exigências do cliente, criei uma arte exclusiva para tatuar a perna direita do mesmo.

I was working on this piece on last 2 weeks and the result made me proud. This is an exclusive art created with all the references that the client gave me on our first meet and it worked perfectly on his right leg.

Foram necessárias 3 horas para fazer todo o traçado na primeira sessão, mais duas sessões de 2 horas cada para o preenchimento e o trabalho estava terminado.

It was necessary one session of 3 hours to finish all the lines and then two more sessions of 2 hours each to fill the entire piece.

Jhonatan foi impressionante durante o processo, não reclamou, não se moveu, apenas ficou sentado esperando eu terminar meu trabalho. Isso é que eu chamo de resistência a dor.

Jhonatan was great, sat like a rock, without complains or movements, just sat and waited the end. This is what I call a tough guy.

Coruja - Owl

Oração de São Bento - Saint Benedict Prayer

Trabalho rápido que fiz na útlima semana no meu amigo dos tempos de colegial Alexandre Netto. A arte se trata do iníco da oração de São Bento em latin “Crux Sacra Sit Mihi Lux”, que em uma tradução livre significa “A Cruz Sagrada Seja Minha Luz”. Uma ótima ideia para tatuagem e uma igualmente otima escolha de fonte para o texto.

This is a quick work I did last week on my high school friend Alexandre Netto. This art is the begining of the Saint Benedict’s prayer in latin “
Crux Sacra Sit Mihi Lux”, that means “May the holy cross be my light”. A good tattoo ideia and a great choice of font to the phrase.

2 horas de trabalho foram necessárias para finalizar a tatuagem, mais tempo do que eu esperava. As palavras que ficam nas pontas da frase foram mais fáceis de traçar, enquanto a parte central tive mais dificuldade, portanto precisei traçar com mais calma para que não fosse preciso repetir o processo.

I finished this tattoo with 2 hours of work, more than I initially thought. I had a little difficulty to work on the center of the phrase, because this is a hard area to tattoo, so I worked slowly in this area to get good and strong lines.

O resultado final ficou satisfatório, bons traços e fácil aplicação do preenchimento. As dificuldades estão começando a diminuir e tudo começa a fluir com naturalidade. Até a próxima.

The result was far better than I expected, good lines and filling. I feel that the difficulties are decreasing and everything is going with the flow. See you next time

Baphomet

Se você quer se tornar tatuador então uma hora, invariávelmente, você irá tatuar um familiar próximo. No meu caso tive a oportunidade de tatuar meu irmão mais velho, Wagner, que também foi quem me apresentou a primeira tatuagem há muito tempo atrás. Hoje esse trabalho já está coberto, mas foi sem dúvida o meu primeiro contato com mundo da tatuagem.

If you want to be a tattoo artist then one day you’ll have to do a tattoo on a close family member, it’s like a rule of this world. In my case I had the opportunity to do a tattoo on my older brother, Wagner, that was also the one that showed to me the world of tattoos back in my childhood. His first tattoo, Fear Factor’s logo on his leg, is no more visible, but was for sure my first experience with tattoos.

Após várias conversas sobre o que fazer, meu irmão optou por tatuar essa cabeça de baphomet dentro de um pentagrama. O local escolhido foi a coxa direita, logo em cima do joelho, uma área bem tranquila para tatuar e também não muito dolorosa.

After some good talks about what art he wanted to do, my brother decided to get this baphomet’s head inside a pentagram. He chose to do the tattoo on his right thigh, above the knee, what is a good area to work and also isn’t so much painfully.

Estencil aplicado, meu irmão ficou satisfeito com a posição da arte e deu o OK para iniciar o trabalho. Ele escolheu fazer essa tatuagem totalmente em vermelho, o que foi ótimo para mim, pois jamais tinha feito algo desse tamanho somente usando esse pigmento.

Stencil applied, my brother gave me the OK to start the job. He chose to do this work only in red, what was good for me, because I never worked in a piece like that only with this pigment.

Após 1 hora e 40 minutos eu terminei o trabalho. Tatuar somente com vermelho é foi realmente difícil, pois enquanto aplicava o pigmento, a pele machucada ficava vermelha, dificultando a localização dos locais com pouca ou nenhuma aplicação de tinta. Porém com calma e atenção foi possível realizar todo o trabalho de forma satisfatória, tanto para mim quanto para meu irmão.

After 1 hour and 40 minutes I finished this job. To work only with red was really hard, because when I applied the pigment, the skin turned into a shade of red that hindered me to locate the empty or missed areas. But with calm and attention the work ran very good and result was satisfactory for both of us.

Autobots vs Decepitcons

Um dos prazeres em ser tatuador é a capacidade de criar laços rapidamente com as pessoas. Conheci Felipe a uns dois anos atrás, quando decidi abrir uma loja de roupas, junto a um sócio, em uma cidade próxima a minha. A loja rapidamente acabou, mas nesse tempo tive a oportunidade de tatuar Felipe duas vezes, a primeira com o nome da sua marca de roupas Oh Shit! e agora o pedido foi os simbolos dos Autobots e Decepticons retirados diretamente do maravilhoso universo dos Transformers.

One of the pleasures in being a tattoo artist is the capacity to make bonds with a lot of people. I met Felipe two years ago, when a decide to open an cloth store with a partner in a city close to my town. This business quickly ended, but in this mean time I had the opportunity to do two tattoos on Felipe, the first was the name of his clothes brand: Oh Shit! and the second was the Autobots and Decepticons symbols, got from the Transformers universe.

O desenho era simples e pequeno, localizado no tornozelo esquerdo, que também é uma área simples e fácil de tatuar. Tudo saiu de forma natural e fiquei bem satisfeito com o resultado dos traços que fiz, todos com a mesma espessura e sem falhas. Após esse processo, apliquei tons de cinza para dar volume as peças e assim finalizar o trabalho. Apliquei todo o preenchimento de maneira circular, apenas adaptando as agulhas para as áreas com ângulos fechados.

The design was simple and small, located of his left ankle, an good spot to do tattoos. Everything went well and naturally, the traces came out firm and steadfast. After this process, I applied shades of grey in circular movements to give volume and finishing the tattoo.
